The mission of art for young hearts is to obtain funding for the implementation of sustainable art therapy programs in elementary schools, in order to improve the academic, social, and emotional lives of students with disabilities.
Our pilot studies have shown that teachers and administrators would be supportive of the implementation of art therapy programs within their schools. The design for our pilot program was based on art therapy research from around the world. This research proved that in a school setting, art therapy can foster success for all students.
